After doing my tweets on an historical event in my computer class i have a new found respect for tweeting. Its a common everyday activities post versus trying to post important things that you are trying to convey to people within 140 words. I know i have a little problem with texting a conversation without going over my limit of 160 words, so i really was struggling. I enjoyed tweeting on Martin Luther King Jr. and the riots that broke out on U Street in Northwest. I knew about the situations but i did endeed learn more that i didnt know about at first. I think if these people had known that it would have taken so long to rebuild things up maybe they would have just destroyed the “white peoples” shops and stores instead of many other places that they just did out of anger. If you lived back then do you think you would have been apart of those riots? why do you think you would or would have? Yes Dr. Martin was a great man, but history in general is such a powerful thing to know for those who may not know their or any history in general. When you know where you come from, you know where you are going. Every race or culture has been through something whether they brung it upon themselves or if it was forced upon them. Every person should know that where we stand today didnt just come easily, but someone had to fight for us to be where we are today.
